Target:

An arid rangeland research site (for some 30 years) for long term monitoring of arid grazing management practices and impacts, vegetation dynamics, and landscape processes. Kunoth Paddock is the site of long-term monitoring of semi-arid grassland and woodland areas. The area has been mapped and monitored using a variety of airborne and satellite data. The site was a major site for the Japanese GRNS projects. It has also been extensively mapped using airborne video as well as Daedalus data and Hyperspectral casi and HyMap data. The objective at Kunoth is to assess how well the products based on airborne data can be translated to the satellite platform.
