May 18, 2000 Earth Observing One Mission Science Office -------------------------------------------------- This CD-ROM contains sample Advanced Land Imager(ALI) Level0 and Level1 data files for a nominal data collection event(DCE). These datafiles are contained in the zip file SampleALIData.zip The ALI Level0 file set consists of 4 HDF files, one for each of the ALI's Sensor Chip Array. Each Level0 hdf file contains 8 hdf scientific datasets. Level0 Files: 1. EO11999303011813.M1Z 2. EO11999303011813.M2Z 3. EO11999303011813.M3Z 4. EO11999303011813.M4Z HDF datasets contained in each Level0 file: 1. Multi-Spectral(MS) bands Pre-image dark data. 2. Pan band pre-image dark data. 3. MS bands image data. 4. Pan image data. 5. MS bands internal lamp data. 6. Pan band internal lamp data. 7. MS bands post-image dark data. 8. Pan band post-image dark data. The radiometrically corrected Level1 files are produced by the MIT/LL Calibration Pipeline software. Each Level1 hdf file contains 6 hdf datasets. The Calibration Pipeline software (version of Dec. 1999) also generates a set of processing log files. Note: The Level0 datasets used here were selected from two distinct instrument integration events. Hence the instrument settings, while consistent, are not identical among the datasets. Additionally, the calibration coefficients used to generate the Level1 files here are NOT definitive. Therefore these datafiles are intended for procedural and formatting purposes only.
